Playing and browser support

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Phones, tablets and Chromebooks are supported in landscape orientation. A current version of Chrome or Edge is the safest choice. Mobile support is still evolving, so include your device, browser and a screenshot when reporting a layout problem.

Do I need an account?

Not for local Mods. You do need an account for Workshop subscriptions, ratings, uploads and account benefits.

Which interface languages are available?

The game interface supports English, German, Dutch, Russian and Ukrainian. Change it in Settings. Text supplied by a Mod—captions, clip titles and character names—is not translated automatically.

Why does it work in a private window but not normally?

An extension, page translator, overlay or stale cache may be changing the game page. Disable extensions for voxalike.com, avoid browser translation on the game itself and refresh the site data if needed.

Workshop Mods and multiplayer

What do Subscribe, Install and Import mean?

Subscribe saves a Workshop Mod to your account; open Mods from PLAY and let that browser install it. Refresh Mods checks for subscriptions and replacements immediately. Import Mod is for a ZIP or folder already on your device. Clearing browser site data removes installed files.

Why is Ready Up stuck on Installing room mod?

Wait for the host's Workshop Mod to finish installing. If it stays stuck, open Mods, choose Refresh Mods, return to the room and try Ready Up again. For a local Mod, every player must import the same files themselves.

Why does an old Choicer Voicer pack freeze or show only pictures?

Its video may be OGV. Convert the video files to MP4 before importing the ZIP or folder. Workshop uploads are checked and converted, so this mostly affects local packs.

What is the difference between Co-op and PVP?

Co-op builds one shared dub for up to 12 players. PVP supports up to 8 players: Turn Battle records in sequence, while Parallel Race has everyone complete the clip list and ranks accuracy plus time.

What should I do after a disconnect?

Keep the page open and let Voxalike reconnect. It can restore the room and locally saved takes when possible. Recent completed results may be available under Recent Dubs on the Create or Join Room screen in the same browser.

Microphone and recording

Record or Mic Check does nothing

Allow Microphone in the site controls beside the address bar, confirm operating-system permission, choose the real input device in Settings, then restart the browser. If Yandex Browser only shows Default, select the physical microphone or try Chrome or Edge.

The microphone stops during a round

Choose Try Again after a Microphone Interrupted message. If it repeats, use Copy Diagnostic and report the browser, device, game mode and Mod name. A VPN, proxy or security filter can also interrupt a secure microphone stream.

Why did the game change my voice level?

Natural processing preserves more detail. Clean voice applies stronger noise reduction and can trim very quiet endings. Run Mic Check in a quiet room, remain silent for the noise sample, then speak at your normal level.

Results and video exports

Where is my finished dub?

After the premiere and judges, the result page offers My Shorts Video, My Landscape Video and My Audio Track. For a recent multiplayer result, also check Recent Dubs in the same browser.

Why is the video WebM instead of MP4?

WebM is more dependable for long rendering inside a browser. Convert the downloaded file separately when an editor or platform requires MP4.

What if export stays on Starting or freezes?

Keep the Voxalike tab visible, close memory-heavy apps, wait for the preview, and use Cancel & Retry if a stage stalls. On mobile, tap the final save control yourself. Do not close or background the tab until the download finishes.

Creator Workshop

How do I upload a Mod?

Sign in, open Creator Workshop, add a playable ZIP, review the listing and publish. Dub Mods should use MP4 or WebM video. Only upload content you own or have permission to share.

What are the current limits?

A Dub Mod ZIP can be up to 800 MB, with each audio clip no longer than 60 seconds. Judge Mod ZIPs have a separate 30 MB limit. New accounts can publish 7 new Mods per rolling day; accounts at least 7 days old can publish 20; approved Community Contributors can publish 50.

Can I update an uploaded Mod?

My Mods lets you edit listing details, replace the ZIP while retaining the page and its activity, or hide a Mod. Permanent deletion becomes available seven days after hiding. External links are not allowed in public text fields.

Useful bug reports

Include the mode and host/guest role, Mod name and source, browser, device, operating system, expected and actual behavior, a screenshot or short recording, and copied diagnostics when available. Share active room codes or account details only in a private support channel.
