Symptom decision tree

Can you open the game? If no, retry the page or open the game in a new tab. If yes, choose the first symptom below that matches what you see.

  1. Record or Mic Check does nothing. Confirm browser and system access, select the real input, then rerun Mic Check. Continue to Microphone Setup.
  2. Stuck on Installing room mod. Confirm every player uses the same room Mod source, refresh the stalled player once, then let the host reopen the room if needed. Continue to room Mod recovery.
  3. Multiplayer disconnected or the room updated. Keep the host tab open, reconnect once, and recreate the room after a server update. Continue to disconnect recovery.
  4. Video export freezes or never downloads. Keep the tab visible, close memory-heavy apps, retry a shorter result, then tap the final save control on mobile. Continue to Mobile & Video Export.
  5. Workshop is slow or reports overload. Wait before retrying, avoid repeated submits, and use a local trusted Mod if available. Do not treat an overload message as an account-password problem.
  6. Workshop opens a suspicious redirect. Close it without interacting, confirm the address is on voxalike.com, and follow Workshop Safety.
  7. Language or interface content is stale. Reload once, close duplicate game tabs, then clear only site data for the game domain if the mismatch remains. Expect to reinstall browser-local Mods afterward.
  8. Background audio is missing. Confirm the tab is not muted, raise media volume separately from microphone input, and test another scene to separate a pack issue from a browser issue.

Minimum reset sequence

  1. Copy any visible error text.
  2. Close duplicate Voxalike tabs.
  3. Reload the active tab once.
  4. Retry with one short trusted pack.
  5. Test a current Chrome or Edge browser if the problem is browser-specific.
  6. Use the focused guide above before clearing all site data.

What to collect if it still fails

  • Browser name and full version
  • Operating system and device type
  • Solo, Co-op, or PVP
  • Workshop, browser-installed, or local Mod
  • Exact failed step and error text
  • Whether a second current browser reproduces it

Do not publish room codes, email addresses, account tokens, recordings, or local pack filenames.
